Privilege? Donald Trump slammed for saying THIS about Epstein's island. 'There is no coming back'

US President Donald Trump Monday said he never had the 'privilege' of going to Epstein's island, triggering a massive backlash on social media as his political opponents said there is now no coming back from what Trump said. Trump made the statement in Scotland as he was meeting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. It did not seem that his comment was satirical, as he kept a straight face and was not even laughing.

“I never went to the island, and [former president] Bill Clinton went there supposedly 28 times. I never went to the island, but [former Treasury Secretary] Larry Summers, I hear, went there, he was the head of Harvard. And many other people that are very big people, nobody ever talks about them,” Trump said.

“I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn him down. But a lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island. In one of my very good moments, I turned it down. I didn’t want to go to his island," Trump added.

Trump came under massive fire over the Epstein issue, which did not even leave him in Scotland. Trump explained that he cut ties with Epstein because Epstein was stealing people who used to work for him.

“Never had the privilege” yah the President of the United States is a pedophile of the highest order and should be treated as such," one wrote sharply reacting to Trump's comment.

“Jeffrey Epstein’s Island” and “privilege” in the same sentence. IN THE SAME SENTENCE. we all know u were there," another wrote.

"What kind of people support a guy who calls a trip to a sex trafficking island full of pedophilia a ‘privilege’?" a third user wrote. "He sat there and called going to an island where they rape children a "privilege", another wrote.

What is Epstein's island?

Epstein Island, officially called Little Saint James, is a private island in the US Virgin Islands owned by the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein . It gained global notoriety after Epstein was arrested in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking of minors. In satellite images, the island seems to have a striking striped dome of Middle Eastern-style architecture. Conspiracy theories claimed that it was a temple used for satanic rituals but there was no evidence ever found.
