VADODARA: A former Congress councillor was stabbed to death during his morning walk in Bakrol area of Gujarat's Anand on Tuesday.
A passerby discovered the body on the walking track at 8.30am and informed police.
The victim Iqbal Malek 's brother, Irfan Hussain Yusufmiyan Malek, has filed a police complaint.
"As per Irfan, Iqbal had left the house for his usual walk at around 7.30am. And he was attacked within the next hour. He had wounds to the neck, stomach and other parts of the body," DSP J N Panchal told TOI.
The track where Iqbal was murdered does not have CCTV cameras. "We will use human and electronic surveillance to track the killers," the DSP added.
