NEW DELHI: Three Naxals were killed on Sunday in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district.
The exchange of fire took place in the forests of Ravas, near the border of Kanker and Gariaband districts, a senior police officer confirmed to news agency PTI.
A joint team of security personnel had launched an anti-Naxal operation in the area earlier in the day.

Troops from the District Reserve Guard (DRG), the special state police unit, from both Kanker and Gariaband took part in the operation.
