Sooraj Pancholi recently opened up about how his parents, Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab have different personalities. He also sheds light on how they went through trauma during his 12-year long Jiah Khan suicide case.

Reflecting on His Father’s Youth and Inherited Traits

in conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Sooraj described his parents, Aditya and Zarina, as two very different individuals, humorously comparing them to "Beauty and the Beast"—with his father being a "handsome beast." Reflecting on old videos of his father, Sooraj admitted that Aditya was quite striking in his youth. He also noted that while he inherited his mother’s gentleness and eyes, he believes he got the best qualities from both parents: his father’s heart and his mother’s intellect.

Emotional Toll of the 12-Year-Long Court Case

The actor also opened up about the emotional toll of his 12-year-long court case, acknowledging the unwavering support of his family. He shared that while they were always there for him, he struggled to express his feelings, possibly to avoid upsetting them or because certain topics were simply not discussed at home. Reflecting on the past, Sooraj mentioned that things are different now, but back then, he kept his emotions largely to himself.

Difficult Times and Silent Support from Family

he further further reflected on the difficult times during the court case, sharing that when his family would sit together, there was no eye contact or conversation. He explained that they all understood the pain they were going through, and none of them wanted to ask if the others were okay, because deep down, they all knew the answer. However, Sooraj added that things have improved significantly in the past year and a half, bringing more peace to both his home and his mind.

Sooraj shared an emotional message he received from his father, Aditya Pancholi. He revealed that two days ago, at 1:00 a.m., he received a heartfelt message from his father that read, “After so many years, I’m very happy for you. Sana, Mama, and I—all the very best. Har Har Mahadev.” Sooraj described his father as a man of few words, but this message meant everything to him.
