Ramgarh: Hazaribag MP Manish Jaiswal on Tuesday handed over wheelchairs to as many as 125 differently-abled individuals and 51 hearing devices to those with hearing disorders at a formal ceremony in Ranchi. Those were donated by Laghu Udyog Bharati's district unit. Members of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI), as well as business and industry representatives too were present on the occasion.
Jaiswal appreciated the initiative to help differently-abled persons and promised to soon provide motorised wheelchairs to all differently-abled people in his parliamentary constituency.
"With everything getting upgraded, differently-abled individuals with less than 80% disability might be also allowed to drive motorised wheelchairs," he said. Vijay Mewar, state general secretary of Laghu Udyog Bharati, said that the outfit has been helping communities from time to time.
