Chatra: A tragic road accident occurred in Sanghri in the Chatra district, where a trailer went out of control and fell into a deep ditch, killing the driver and the cleaner on the spot on Monday midnight. The bodies were badly stuck in the trailer, and efforts to remove them continued for more than 12 hours.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, a police team reached the spot and started the rescue work. The trailer was going from Chatra to Hunterganj when the accident took place. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle at the dangerous turn of Sanghri Valley, causing the vehicle to fall into the ditch.
Chatra Sub-Divisional Officer Jahur Alam stated that with the help of JCB and other equipment, the bodies were taken out and sent for postmortem to Chatra Sadar Hospital. He said, "The cause of the accident is being investigated." Police said that efforts are ongoing to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
