Legendary musician Sting has been flooded with messages of support after he was forced to pull out of his show on Saturday night. The rocker was due to perform at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood but was unable to take to the stage on medical orders - leaving fans devastated by the news. The 74 year old's team shared a message on his social media account and explained to his legion of fans that he is currently "under the weather" but did not provide any further details about his condition. In a statement shared with his 1.8 million followers, his team explained that Sting has issued an apology but is hopeful to be back on stage once he recovers.
The show has been postponed until March 2026, as fans flocked to offer their support to the Every Breath You Take hitmaker. The candid post read: "Sting is under the weather and on his doctor's advisement, he has been instructed not to perform tonight.
As a result, his concert at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, FL this evening will be postponed to May 6, 2026.
"Please hold on to your tickets as they will be honored on the new date."
The message concluded: "Sting very much looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as he is fully recovered. He apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates your understanding."
Fans rushed to the comment section as they shared their concern for the British star.
One fan wrote: "Get well soon my dear sting, energy and too much love from Chile."
Another penned: "Damn I just saw him last night and he sounded amazing, get well soon."
While a third echoed: "Please feel better soon. You are so beloved. Hoping for a quick recovery."
As a fans wished him well others revealed they had travelled miles before finding out the gig had been cancelled.
One concerned fan penned: "I am standing in front of the 'Canceled' sign at the hard rock with tears in my eyes after having been on a flight to come to Florida from the Caribbean for it. Been waiting since I was 15 years old. Sad but hopeful he will feel better and that one day I ll get the opportunity to see him."
Another remarked: "Not a fault of Sting- wish him well. However Hard Rock Casino and the Ticket Vendors have all the info necessary to communicate with ticket holders about cancellation- we get tickets in the same manner. Drove 3 hours. Wishing Sting a healthy recovery."
Sting was the principal songwriter, lead singer, and bassist for the rock band The Police. He was in the band from 1977 to 1984, until he launched a solo career in 1985.
He went solo after The Police split in 1984.
