Meghan Markle has revealed that she travelled back to California for one day between her appearances in Paris and New York City. During her appearance on stage at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit yesterday, the 44-year-old shared how she had to travel back to California to reunite with her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after appearing in the French captial - before continuing her work schedule in the Big Apple.
Meghan shares her children with husband Prince Harry. Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, are thought to have stayed in California whilst Meghan was in Paris and New York City. The royal stepped out at Paris Fashion Week on October 4, before appearing in New York City with Harry on October 9 and 10.
Speaking to Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of Fortune Live Media, on Tuesday, Meghan shared that she took a detour to California between the trips as she "needed to see" her children.
Alyson asked Meghan: "You've been all over the place, and we were talking backstage about how yes, you've been to Europe, you were just in New York... and you made it home for one day to see your kids?"
Laughing, Meghan replied: "Yes, I had to!"
The mum-of-two then explained: "We were talking about that because everyone said, 'Oh, you must have gone from Paris straight to New York,' and I said, 'No, I need to see my babies'.

"So went back to California for a day and then continued on."
Meghan previously spoken of feeling "not well" after being separated from her children for "almost three weeks", with many believing that she was referring to her visit to the UK in 2022.
The couple had travelled for a short trip to the UK to complete a series of work commitments, however, later extended the trip following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
