Actor Callum Woodhouse has been a staple on Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small since it began back in 2020.
The 31-year-old is a firm fan-favourite on the series for playing the lively yet loveable Tristan Farnon.
Although he took a brief break in season four, fans of the period drama were thrilled when the vet made his highly anticipated return in the latest series.
However, people are set to see the actor in a new light as he takes on a new role away from the Channel 5 show.
Callum will be starring in the upcoming World War Two horror film, Monster Island, which he treated his followers to a glimpse to on social media this week.
Steaming on the service Shudder in July, the 31-year-old will play a British soldier who is being hunted down by a deadly creature on a deserted island.
The trailer, which was posted on Instagram, has the caption: "Ferocious mythological creature, the Orang Ikan, hunts a Japanese soldier and British POW after they find themselves stranded on a desert island during World War II. Starring Dean Fujioka and Callum Woodhouse, MONSTER ISLAND premieres July 25 on Shudder."
It wasn't long before people commented on the terrifying trailer, with many sharing their excitement.
One person said: "I am so excited [sic]." Someone else wrote: "I'm eager to watch this movie in Japan."
Another commented: "Callum using his own northern accent already has me intrigued."
Although it's not only Callum who has been busy outside of the world of Darrowby as Nicholas Ralf, who plays James Herriot, has been unveiled as the latest person to be joining the star-studded cast of Wax Fruit
Wax Fruit is an upcoming series which is currently under development by Glasgow-born showrunner and executive producer Sarah Purser.
The synopsis reads: "Set between the Gaelic-speaking Highlands and the gritty streets of Victorian Glasgow, Wax Fruit follows the explosive rise of the Moorhouse family, who leave rural poverty behind to climb into the ranks of the city's powerful merchant elite - at a time when Glasgow was one of the most glamorous and powerful cities in the world."
Other famous faces joining the series includes the likes of Martin Compston (Line of Duty), Ashley Jensen (Shetland) and Shirley Henderson (Dept. Q).
