Ahead of the Bihar assembly elections, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has firmly denied reports that its president and Union Minister Chirag Paswan is breaking ties with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. LJP (Ram Vilas) spokesperson Nishant Mishra called such rumors completely baseless and fake, affirming that the party remains a part of the NDA.
Currently, the LJP (Ram Vilas) is contesting the elections alongside key NDA constituents like the BJP and JD(U). Despite Chirag Paswan's recent critical remarks on the law and order situation in Bihar, his party continues its alliance with the NDA. Paswan has openly questioned the Nitish Kumar-led government's handling of rising crime rates in the state but has clarified that his concerns do not amount to rebellion or a move to exit the coalition.
Chirag Paswan has also expressed his intention to contest the upcoming Bihar assembly polls himself, with his party actively preparing for seat-sharing arrangements and election strategies within the NDA framework. Addressing allegations by opposition parties of potential vote theft during the special voter list revision, Paswan dismissed them as excuses from a frustrated opposition and reiterated his party’s commitment to the NDA alliance.
Thus, despite political tensions and public criticisms, LJP (Ram Vilas) and Chirag Paswan maintain their alliance with the NDA in Bihar as the state heads toward the assembly elections.
