Swindon 'stabbing': Armed police rush to house with man 'covered in blood'

An air ambulance has landed at a primary schoolin Swindonfollowing reports of an alleged stabbing, with witnesses reporting a "man covered in blood".

A spokesperson for Lainesmead Primary School said the ambulance landed just before 8:30am "near the playpark", and that it was aware of an incident. Multiple policecars were seen parked up along the residential Seymour Road, a short walk from the school, with officers seen going door to door. According to an eyewitness, a "stabbing" took place at an address on the street this morning, with armed officers racing to the scene and one man seen "covered in blood."

"The guy that was there was covered in blood and there was blood everywhere, and I saw a critical care car. It all kicked off at around 8.20am. All we heard were sirens. So many sirens," the witness told the Swindon Advertiser. A resident was told by an officer on scene that children inside the property were safe and that enquiries are underway, with "only one guy involved" in the incident.

A nearby pharmacy worker heard sirens blaring at roughly 9am. "We don't know anything, though," they said.
