YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has shockingly included rivals Anthony Joshua and Conor McGregor in his list of the top ten most overrated athletes of all time.
Since his professional debut in 2020, the American has made waves in the boxing world. In his early career, he was known for challenging former MMA fighters. With a professional record of 11-1, Paul boasts victories over Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.
He is set to return to the ring on Saturday night against former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Paul enters this intriguing cruiserweight bout following a win over Mike Tyson last November. Over the years, the social media star has challenged several big names in combat sports.
Recently, the young sensation brutally criticised big names from various sports as he revealed his list of the ten most overrated athletes of all time - which included Joshua and McGregor. In a video posted on Instagram, the American shared his choices with a wide smile.

Former baseball legend Babe Ruth, who is widely recognised as one of the sport's greatest figures, kicked off the list. At his prime, Ruth clinched the World Series seven times out of ten and smashed an impressive 714 home runs throughout his career. Following him was Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Despite being in the NFL for four seasons, he has a disappointing record of 20-30. The 25-year-old American has been plagued with injuries and inconsistency since being the number one draft pick by the Jaguars. Paul dubbed him as "overrated and overpaid," referring to his staggering $55 million annual contract.
Paul certainly stirred up controversy with his next choice, stating: "this one is gonna p*** off a lot of people!" He named five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Even after celebrating his 40th birthday in February, the Portuguese international continues to dazzle at the highest level and recently played a crucial role in leading his nation to Nations League victory.
The first boxer to feature on Paul's list is the contentious Ryan Garcia. Many believe that the boxer hasn't lived up to expectations following his recent defeat to Rolly Romero. Next on the list, Paul was keen to include McGregor. The two have exchanged sharp words over the years amidst discussions of a possible showdown. However, nothing has come to fruition so far. The Irishman is a former dual-weight UFC champion and is considered the biggest star in MMA history, having put UFC on the map.
Dak Prescott and NBA sensation Anthony Edwards were mentioned before Paul added another boxing rival, Canelo Alvarez. The two seemed set to fight back in May. However, 'Saul' withdrew from negotiations at the eleventh hour, choosing instead to sign a lucrative deal with Riyadh Season.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was the penultimate name dropped by Paul before he revealed Joshua as his final pick. Paul and Joshua have discussed a potential bout in 2026 after a brief phone call earlier this year. 'AJ' hasn't stepped into the ring since his crushing knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September.
