Innocent-looking photo of woman sitting on chair goes viral for hilarious reason

Nowadays the smallest of things can go viral on social media, especially optical illusions which could sometimes reveal the deepest secrets of your personality. But sometimes just sitting on a chair is enough to make you go viral.

An optical illusion is turning heads on Reddit which shows an innocent-looking image of a female sitting with a few pals. But there's something rather hilarious which has happened to the picture with the woman and guys – and you might not spot it immediately. So can you see what's going on? The caption on Reddit, which was shared by r/SipsTea read: "Nah it's illusion! *crying laughing emoji*." The redhead might be sat down innocently, but the bottom half of her body looks like it belongs to a dog.

But what really happened here is the pup was perfectly positioned to show that illusion. Since the photo was shared on the forum, it garnered nearly 100 upvotes and a few comments.

One joked: "A centdog." While another added: "Wrong centaur."

Optical illusions can work in mysterious ways as it often tricks the visual system, causing the brain to interpret something that's not actually there.

Our brains rely on visual cues like depth, shading and lighting to create a 3D image, but when presented with 2D images, these can be misinterpreted, leading to optical illusions.

And these illusions reveal how our brains construct our perception of the world.

But in this case above, the dog was cleverly positioned to make you believe the woman was half-human, half-dog, funny right? But of course, if you really look closely you can see the woman is wearing a blue dress and sandals.

It also doesn't help that the dog's fur colour is the same as the woman's locks.

The optical illusion was also shared by TikTok channel @psychologylove100, which explained a similar test: "What you see first will reveal a very specific aspect of your personality."

It goes on to show the image and asks people what they saw first - crocodiles, a bird of a face.
