Girl, 4, watches in horror as dad gets 'beaten to a pulp' during family dinner

A dad was “brutally attacked” and sustained “awful injuries” inside a pub in front of his horrified family. Kaisen Kinsella, 27, was enjoying a meal with his partner, Georgy Annaise, and their two children, Sylvie Star, four, and Sully Moon, who is just seven months old, when he was viciouslyassaulted without warning.

According to Georgy, her partner was approached by a male who knocked him to the floor with a head punch before his pals joined in by repeatedly kicking him in the face.

As this unfolded, Georgy stood nearby clutching terrified Sylvie in her arms and begged the group to stop. Kaisen’s face was left battered and he suffered a broken eye socket. He also endured a brain bleed and will needcosmetic surgery to reconstruct his nose after his teeth were knocked out of place.

Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses after the disturbing incident at the Dog and Partridge pub in North Stifford, Essex, on Friday August 22.

And speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Georgy said: “I never imagined a relaxed evening out with friends and family would turn into a nightmare that has completely upended our lives. This brutal and unprovoked attack has left my daughter traumatised.

“She’s having nightmares and has stopped eating. We’re still in shock, and I can’t help but wonder what has happened to humanity?”

Georgy said even as they pleaded with the youngsters to stop, yelling that there were children present, they reacted "coldly" by telling her to “shut up”.

Kaisen is a self employed thermal insulator and Georgy described him as a gentle giant, her best friend, and an amazing father to their young children.

And speaking to us from his hospital bed, she said: “He’s always the first to help anyone, and we wouldn’t wish what happened to him on anyone. While his physical injuries will heal with time and surgery, the emotional scars will take much longer. This is just the beginning of a long road to recovery for him and for all of us.

“Our daughter is supposed to start school next week. Instead of preparing her uniform and getting her excited for this new chapter, we’re now focused on hospital visits and emotional healing. I honestly don’t know how she’ll cope but I have to stay strong for my family and for our children, who witnessed this horrific attack.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Kaisen’s family by a friend called Charlie Meggs.

He described Kaisen as being the victim of an “unprovoked and brutal attack” and that the assault has left him with “severe injuries that require extensive medical treatment”.

Kaisen is self-employed and Charlie said any money raised would help to support his partner and children while he recovers in hospital.

He added: “Kaisen has always been a kind, hardworking, and loving person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Now, he is the one who needs our help.

“The road to recovery will be long and difficult. Along with the physical healing, there will be time away from work and support for his family as they navigate this painful chapter.”

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “An investigation is underway following a serious assault at a pub in High Road, North Stifford. Our officers were called to the scene at the Dog and Partridge, at around 11pm on Friday 22 August.

“It was reported a man was attacked by a group of males and left with injuries to his head and face. He is receiving hospital treatment for serious injuries.

“The suspects had left the scene and enquiries are ongoing. We would appeal for anyone who was in the pub that evening, who may have information or footage which could assist us, to please come forward.”

And Chief Inspector Tony Atkin added: “We’re treating this matter seriously and have officers continuing to pursue active lines of enquiry.

“It’s clear that the identity of those responsible is known to some that were in the pub that night and I’m actively appealing to those people to come forward and tell us who they are.

“I would please ask if any witnesses may be able to help us with our investigation to come forward. This was a serious assault which has left the victim with awful injuries and we want to find those responsible.

“Violence within our community will never be tolerated and we always actively pursue those who commit offences of this nature.”

Expressing her gratitude, Georgy concluded: “I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us. The police officers who stood by us that night, the incredible hospital staff caring for Kaisen, and our friends, family, and local community who’ve shown us so much love. Also a thank you to the bar staff at the Dog and Partridge. Your kindness is helping me hold on to hope and proving that good will always overcome evil.
