The woman, aged 20,dropped ill while travelling on a bus in Guarapuava, in Brazil’s central region of Paraná on Tuesday evening. According to reports, she was traveling alone from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo. The bus had stopped by a restaurant when the woman began to display respiratory issues.

Paramedics desperately tried to revive the woman in Brazil for around 45 minutes. Despite their best efforts, she was later pronounced dead. Local media reported that the woman died of a cardiorespiratory arrest. During the medical episode, medics spotted multiple packages including the phones were stuck onto her body.
Specialists from the ‘Scientific Police’ and the Civil Police were called to the scene after bottles of drink were found in the woman's luggage. The items were later identified as several bottles of alcohol.
After prompting smuggling concerns, police sniffer dogs also responded to the incident. However, no drugs were found attached to the victim.
Police addressed the items found on her body and said the findings supported the hypothesis of illegal trafficking. The victim's body was sent to the Forensic Medical Institute following her death. The seized items were taken to the headquarters of the federal police, which is now investigating the case.
According to Brazilian news outlet Globo, police earlier said: "The Paraná Civil Police are investigating the case and awaiting the conclusion of forensic reports to clarify the cause of death.
