Akshay Kumar has long earned a reputation as one of Bollywood’s most disciplined and dependable actors. His commitment to professionalism and punctuality has become the stuff of industry legend. Recently, choreographer Chinni Prakash, in an interview with the YouTube channel Friday Talkies, shared an incident that perfectly illustrates Akshay’s unwavering dedication and humility, even in the most uncomfortable situations.
Recalling a memorable experience from the shoot of Khiladi for a song, 'Khud Ko Kya Samajhti Hai,' Chinni revealed that Akshay once had to endure a scene where nearly a hundred eggs were thrown at him. The sequence required several actresses to pelt him with eggs as part of the choreography. According to Chinni, being hit by eggs is not only painful but also leaves a lingering, unpleasant odor that refuses to fade easily. Yet, despite the discomfort and mess, Akshay remained completely calm. He neither complained nor requested any changes to the choreography. Instead, he embraced the moment with good humor and quiet professionalism. Prakash also added that the actor had to endure a lot of real wheat being poured on his head for the song.
Chinni further emphasized that Akshay’s work ethic has remained consistent throughout his decades-long career. Having collaborated with the actor on 25 to 50 songs, the choreographer recalled that Akshay never once questioned or altered a dance step. He described the actor as sincere, humble, and tireless—someone who approaches every project with absolute focus and respect for his craft.
Even after working together again years later on the Housefull series, Chinni was struck by how little Akshay had changed. He shared that the actor continues to bring the same level of energy and commitment to his work as he did two decades ago. Whether it’s performing dangerous stunts or executing demanding dance sequences, Akshay approaches every challenge fearlessly. Chinni joked that if one were to ask him to leap from a tenth-floor building, he would probably do it without hesitation.
He also reminisced about the time Akshay and Raveena shot for one of their biggest hit songs, ' Tu Cheez Badi Hain Mast Mast,' half asleep for the 1994 blockbuster Mohra. Chinna recalled the song was shot in 3 nights with just 3 cameras, as neither of the stars had any extra dates to dedicate to the song.
Professionally, Akshay was last seen in Jolly LLB 3, a courtroom comedy alongside Arshad Warsi. The actor’s upcoming projects include Bhooth Bangla, Haiwaan, and Welcome To The Jungle, the highly anticipated third part of the Welcome franchise—further proof that his relentless passion for cinema remains as strong as ever.
