Many big changes will be seen in Apple's upcoming iOS 26 update, but according to a new report, a shocking and very special feature has been added to FaceTime regarding privacy. According to the report, in the beta version of iOS 26, if nudity is detected on the camera during a FaceTime call, the video and audio will automatically stop. A warning message will appear on the screen saying, "Audio and video have been paused because you may be showing something sensitive. If you feel uncomfortable, you can end the call." The user will then be given two options: resume the call or end it.
Apple's emphasis on privacy and user safety
This new feature is part of Apple's Communication Safety initiative, which has been further strengthened in iOS 26. Earlier, it was believed that this feature would be only for children or family sharing accounts, but now, in the beta version, it is being implemented for all users.
Special steps for the safety of youth
At WWDC 2025, Apple made it clear that the digital safety of family and children will be given priority in iOS 26. A similar feature was also announced in Shared Albums in the Photos App, where if there is any pornographic picture, it will be automatically blurred.
Will this feature apply to everyone?
At the moment, it is not clear whether this feature will be active on all users when the final version of iOS 26 is released, but it is clear that Apple has now become more cautious about digital wellbeing and privacy. If you are an iOS 26 beta user, your call may stop for a while if anything 'sensitive' is seen during a FaceTime call. This entire process will depend on an based identification system.
