7th Pay Commission: The Nayab Singh Saini government of Haryana has given big news to its employees and pensioners during the festive season. On Friday, the government announced an increase in dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) from the current 55 percent to 58 percent.
7th Pay Commission: Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has issued a letter regarding the DA increase. It states that the increased rates of DA and DR will be paid along with the salary and pension for the month of October. Arrears for the months of July to September will be paid in November.
The benefits of the increase in DA and DR will be available from July 1, 2025.
As per the 7th Pay Commission structure, those receiving salary, pension, or family pension will now receive DA and DR at the rate of 58 percent of the basic salary and pension, up from the current 55 percent, effective July 1, 2025.
UP Government Also Increased DA
Earlier, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh had also announced a 3 percent increase in the dearness allowance for state government employees and pensioners. The dearness allowance will now increase from 55 percent to 58 percent. This arrangement will be implemented from July 1, 2025. According to a statement, this increase in dearness allowance will result in an additional expenditure burden of ₹1,960 crore on the treasury by March 2026. The Chief Minister had ordered the increased dearness allowance to be disbursed in cash starting this month.
